Source: National Center on Elder Abuse
Published: 2024
Summary:
We all have the right to take risks and make choices that give our lives meaning. Risk taking is a fundamental part of decision making. However, older adults’ participation in activities that carry risk often comes under scrutiny, particularly if they experience physical, cognitive, mental health, or functional decline. This webinar will address how elder justice professions can support older adults in navigating the assessment, management, mitigation, and acceptance of risk that may expose them to abuse or harm.
